SAMI Bitumen Technologies is pleased to announce the appointment of Sumit Kumar as Operations Manager for New South Wales, effective 14 July 2025.

Sumit succeeds Hendre Smith, who has been appointed State Manager Asphalt – NSW at COLAS Australia.

Sumit brings over a decade of experience in engineering project management, with a specialization in bitumen plant operations and equipment. His tenure as Group Major Projects Manager at COLAS Australia Group has seen him lead significant infrastructure projects, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and innovation in the field.

In his new role, Sumit will oversee SAMI’s operations across New South Wales, focusing on delivering high-quality bitumen products and services. His leadership is expected to further strengthen SAMI’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the industry.
